Rose trained at the Royal College of Music and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She is a Samling Artist and Britten Pears Young Artist.

She has a particular interest in 20th century and contemporary opera. She has performed with the Royal Opera House, English Touring Opera, Opera Holland Park and Grange Festival. Opera performances include Little Red/Witch (cover) in Wolf Witch Giant Fairy at the Royal Opera House, Firebird/Vasilisa (English Touring Opera/The Little Angel Theatre), Alcina in The Enchanted Island (Royal Opera House), Caterina in L’amico Fritz (Opera Holland Park) Tytania (cover) in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Grange Festival ) Anne Trulove The Rake’s Progress (Peacock Theatre), Greta Fiorentino Street Scene (RCS), Pamina Die Zauberflöte, Adina L’elisir d’amore (Westminster Opera Co.); Nun in Prokofiev’s The Fiery Angel (Scottish Opera), Adele Die Fledermaus (RCS). Contemporary opera roles include Alice in Now by Lewis Murphy (RCM), Harlequin in Black Sand by Na’ama Zisser (Tête-à-Tête Opera) . She has worked on the development of new works by Philip Cashian , Melanie Wilson and Tansy Davies.

Since discovering art song at music college, Rose has loved exploring this intimate art form. She has performed a number of recitals and is particularly drawn to 20th century composers, Debussy, Ravel, Strauss, Berg, Schoenberg and Britten. She is currently working on a collaboration with a shadow puppeteer weaving together Ravel’s Histoires Naturelles and Poulenc’s Le Bestiaire with a new translation by Jeremy Sams to be performed at The Little Angel Theatre this summer.
